Considering Parenting?

If someone ever tells you parenting is a piece of cake, they’re lying. Every parent knows it’s a challenging but amazing job. No matter your age, income, education, or marital status, it is possible to parent. It takes hard work, but parenting is one of the most rewarding things you will ever do.

You Have What It Takes to be a Parent!

Only you can decide if you have what it takes to be a parent at this time in your life. Ask yourself these questions:

  • Will my parents/partner support me in my decision?
  • Do I have the financial and emotional support I will need?
  • What will parenting mean for the future of my education, career, or relationships?

There are so many resources today for women who choose to parent. Here are just a few of the things we can offer you at Warrenton Pregnancy Center:

  • Prenatal Vitamins
  • Parental Educational and Prenatal Classes
  • Medical and Social Referrals
  • Medicaid Enrollment Assistance
  • Material Resources (diapers, wipes, baby clothes, crib, etc.)
  • One-on-one Mentoring
  • Friendship and Emotional Support

See? It is possible to have the support you need to parent.

Parenting in School

Whether you’re still in high school or college, you have legal rights as a mother and mother-to-be. Schools must make exceptions for doctor’s appointments, pregnancy-related health issues, and the delivery of your child.

No matter what, staying in and finishing school is vitally important for your future and your child’s. Without education, you won’t be able to provide properly for your child down the road.

Your Parenting Choice

None of your options for your unexpected pregnancy are easy. You have a big decision before you. Make an appointment and come talk with us. Whenever the decision is bigger than yourself, it helps to have someone else to share it with.
