Did your partner just tell you she’s pregnant? If so, your mind is probably racing. You’re thinking, “I can’t believe it’s true. I thought we were careful.” Or, “Now what? I’m not ready to be a dad.” We know you’re frustrated, angry, and confused. We get it.
Your First Step
You both need to come to Warrenton Pregnancy Center to verify the pregnancy. Even if she took an at-home pregnancy test, confirming the result is important.
If the pregnancy test is positive, it’s time to move on to an ultrasound. The ultrasound will tell you how many weeks she’s actually been pregnant, if the pregnancy is growing, and other information vital to her health.
Get The Support You Need
We’re not just here for women who discover an unexpected pregnancy. We’re here for their partners, too. You need someone you can trust to talk things through. Someone who will listen and offer sound, practical advice. We have men ready to provide the one-on-one mentoring you need.

Making a Final Decision
The two of you have a big decision in front of you. One that will have long-lasting consequences. You must communicate with one another.
Things You Shouldn’t Do:
- Don’t say, “Do whatever you want.”
- Don’t run away.
- Don’t confide in people you can’t trust.
- Don’t force or manipulate her to make a certain decision.
Things You Should Do:
- Let her know you support her.
- Talk to her.
- Offer your help.
- Stay in all the way to the final decision.
